SCG&CC Junior Golf Program

The Sunshine Coast Golf & Country Club is proud to offer an extensive program for junior golfers aged 6-18.

Our Passport to Golf program allows junior members of all levels to get involved in junior clinics, fun tournaments, a junior league, junior interclubs, fundraising, social events and skills competitions. Each junior member is issued their own personal passport in which they can track their progress through all elements of the program. Parents are encouraged to get involved to help the juniors take advantage of all the club has to offer. Each month from June to August, the most active junior in each age division will win a prize for their accomplishments.

Junior members receive 50% off entry into one of the summer junior clinics, free entry into all junior league games and tournaments, a chance to qualify for our Junior Interclub matches as well as the annual PGA of BC Pro-Junior Championship. On top of that, junior members do not pay additional green fees to play on the course (time restrictions may apply) and are eligible for subsidized private lessons from our CPGA professionals ($20 per ½ hour).*

*Junior members aged 12 and under are required to have adult supervision on the course and at the Practice Range at all times unless otherwise approved by the pro shop.
Junior Membership Prices (including HST):
  • Junior Birdies    6- 9  years (2001-2004)      $115
  • Junior Eagles   10-14 years (1996-2000)      $165

Memberships run from April 1st to March 31st.

Hello Juniors and Parents,

Our Junior Players League will begin Tuesday, Apr 2nd. The goal of the Tuesday Junior League is to bring junior members of all skill levels together for a regular weekly 11-hole game. There will be prizes available each week (some based on performance but mostly draw prizes). One adult chaperone from our junior committee will be present to accompany the younger golfers on the course. Adults of junior members are encouraged to come out with their son/daughter. Green fees for non-member adults will be set at the sundown rate ($20 per person for 11 holes).

Tee times have been set aside in the pro shop beginning at 4:00pm until 4:30pm. Junior members are asked to check into the pro shop prior to 4:00pm to register their name on the draw. Pro shop staff will form groups of 3 or 4 depending on the number of entrants.

The chaperone will accompany the least experienced group in order to provide some guidance on safety, etiquette (order of play) and general movement around the golf course (ie where do we put our clubs when putting, tending the flagstick, marking scores on the next tee etc). Some basic rules may be introduced (ie water hazard procedures, out of bounds, dropping from a cart path etc). No instruction is needed, the goal is more about making the junior members comfortable with how to move around safely on the course.
